We have some fearsome intellectuals on board the newbornBooks™ team. Our academic credentials span the breadth of former Rhodes Scholar to talented Middle Schooler, altogether comprising a depth of insight and knowledge born over years of experience.
Yet, academics do not qualify our contributors for their role.
First and foremost, we seek the maturity of soul that comes from the wisdom of the Holy Spirit, or the purity of heart that comes from holding hands with God. At present we are professionals, writers, or other artists and ministers who have discovered a spiritual love-relationship with God far surpassing the doctrines of religions or the denominations of men. However, we are just as likely at any time in the future to comprise a single mom working two jobs or a child with obvious insight from the Father. We are people who enjoy waiting on God and we desire to feed his people!
Below you will find out who our current contributors are; in due course you can consider their writing and ideas for yourself.
Robert: Bo is as down-to-earth about heavenly realities as anyone else around. If you sometimes wonder whether spirituality is the fabrication of a flaky mindset, you will be invigorated by Bo. Bo speaks his mind and you may or may not like it. Bo will never be a Christian with a pearly white smile portraying life as a bed of heavenly roses. We are not going to shut Bo down if he offends slightly. His heart is in the right place and we all sometimes need to hear a frank voice that jolts us. Depending on your feedback, we may tone him down a little, or we may unleash him to refresh us further!
Tessa: Tessa has a global view on life. She has traveled to many lands and has lived in several cultures. She has wisdom that sees the greater images of God and Christ. She tends to delve the physical and spiritual questions that many of us might leave alone. Tessa's e-letter article for August, Unity and Jealousy (now also on our Blog) might ruffle a few sensitivity feathers with its historical take on religion and politics.
Gemma: Gemma will appease your sensitivities. Gemma is one of those shining examples of a joyful spirit radiating the gentleness of the Holy Spirit. She is someone who sees beauty everywhere and she will lull you with her poetic turn of phrase into the soul-rest that our daily lives so badly need. She sees in detail and color and images. Gemma smiles a lot and her love for the Lord often heals others even before she reaches out in prayer to touch. She writes in an effort to highlight the hope, peace, and love within our physical world.
Peter: Former Rhodes Scholar and Harvard faculty member; medical researcher and scientific-journal editor; Worship Leader, poet, and amateur photographer... Peter lends objective brain power and clarity, as well as creative insight, to our team. He will not often write our pieces but Peter is always behind the scenes monitoring our production. He heads up our talented advisory board and contacts an array of Christian leaders to ask their views.
